- Dissemination of production technology among the farming community
- Enforcement of agriculture laws i.e., Fertilizer Control Order, Cotton Control Act
- Achievement of targets of area and production of various crops
- Locust surveillance and combat operations
- Implementation of approved projects
- Liaison with other departments
- Any other assignment from higher-ups
